Service Description
In this program geared for high school juniors, the student's personal advisor will educate the family on the college admissions process. After an evaluation of the student’s records, including the high school schedule, transcript, standardized test scores, extracurricular activities and special talents or concerns, the advisor will conduct an in-depth interview of the student in order to develop overall strategy for the application process. The goal of this program is for the advisor to build a relationship with the student and family so that a thoughtful and appropriate college list (with varying degrees of admission difficulty) will be developed and honed over time. The advisor will provide suggestions for high school course selection and extracurricular activities, explain standardized testing options and share personalized tips and strategies for college visits. The advisor will build a resume with the student, help identify themes and subjects for college essays, assist with topic development, offer critique and proofreading. Furthermore, the advisor will provide interview preparation, ongoing essay support for the college applications, structural support and deadline oversight. Included in this program: 1 family consultation, 14 face-to-face sessions in person or via video conferencing, unlimited text, email correspondence and research through the student's senior year in high school.
